This delusion is what I am just about to answer right now by showing you what prepaid cards work with Cash App. Or if there are even any prepaid cards that work with Cash App. So, without further ado, let us proceed.

Prepaid Cards are also known as a “stored-value card” whose value is solely on the card. This is a type of card that maintains itself and is not linked in any way to an external account which could be managed by a bank or some sort of a financial institution. Yes, you can actually link a card to your Cash App. However, to link these cards, you will have to ensure that the card you intend to link is accepted by Cash App and also, that your Cash App account has been successfully set up. 

How To Link A Card With Cash App

As I had earlier said, you can actually link a card with a Cash App without stress. However, you cannot link a prepaid card. This card that is being linked must be either a bank card such as a credit card or a debit card. Or, a branded. Below are steps on how to link a card with Cash App.

  • Open your Cash App mobile app. You can also download the Cash App mobile app from the Apple App store or the Google Play Store.
  • Log in to your Cash App account.
  • On the dashboard, click on Menu.
  • Click on card.
  • Click on “Add Card”.
  • Enter your new Credit card, debit card or any branded card details.
  • Click on OK to confirm.

Does This Mean That I Can Not Use A Prepaid Card On Cash App?

Not really. This does not mean that somehow, a Prepaid card will not work with Cash App. However, you will need an intermediary if you want to make a prepaid card to work with a Cash App.
