Are you curious and want to know what happens if someone doesn’t accept your Cash App payment, or if it is even possible for a Cash App payment to be accepted or rejected?
Then do not worry because this is what I will be addressing in this article.
When a payment is made through cash app, such payment will be successful or completed only if Cash App accepts/approves it. For every Payment made, cash app will always scrutinize the payment to make sure it passes all the requirements needed for it to be completed.
If cash app finds any reason for such Payment not be completed, it will simply not accept it. And once cash app does not accept the payment, such Payment will not go through.
Also, when you send money to someone on cash app for the first time, the person (recipient) would have to login to their cash app dashboard and accept the payment manually.
For such Payment to be available for the recipient to withdraw, the recipient must have to accept the payment manually from their Cash App account, especially if that is their first transfer to the sender.
Sometimes, it turns out that the recipient may fail to accept payment made out to them on cash app. The reason for this may be either because the recipient is not active on cash app and did not notice that Payment was made to them on cash app; or they just decided no to accept the payment, possibly because they don’t know the person that sent the money to them.
In either case, what happens to the money then, since it has already been sent? That’s what we shall be addressing in this article.
NOTE that payment will deposit automatically, if it’s not the first time of sending payment to the person on cash app.

For your Cash App payment not to be accepted simply means that, it’s either cash app did not approve your payment or the person you sent the money, did not click on accept, from their Cash App dashboard, so that the money will be credited to their account. It could be that the person is not aware of the payment or they just decided not to accept it for one reason or the other. Later in this guide, I will show you what happens if someone doesn’t accept your Cash App payment.
What Happens If Someone Doesn’t Accept Your Cash App Payment?
Most times while thinking about or wondering what happens about our Cash App payment that was not accepted, we most often think that someone or the recipient deliberately decided not to accept the transfer. In as much as recipient can reject a payment on cash app, sometimes it may be the cash app itself that did not accept the payment.
Whether it’s the recipient or cash app that did not accept the payment, our question is, what happens to the money if not accepted?
When you send money to someone on cash especially for the first time, and the recipient did not login to their Cash App to accept the payment manually, the money will go back to your account, after about 14 days. But when the payment is rejected by cash app or manually/deliberately rejected by the recipient, the money will go back to your account almost instantly.
What To Do If Someone Doesn’t Accept Your Payment On Cash App

So, you may try to reach out the recipient and let them know that you sent a payment to them on cash app, and as such, they should login and accept.
But if the recipient deliberately rejected the payment, try to find out from them, the reason they rejected the payment. Then sort out with them, whatever might be the issue.

As I had earlier said, Cash App reserves the right to accept or reject your payment. Also, if you are sending money to someone on a cash app for the first time, the person must have to accept your payment manually, before it can be credited on their cash app account.
