Following the events of The Batman (2022), Oz Cobb, aka the Penguin, attempts to take over the Gotham crime world. From melting makeup to filming in freezing temperatures, Colin Farrell and Cristin Milioti talk about how they got into character while filming “The Penguin.” Colin Farrell fought to have his version of the Penguin smoke tobacco in The Batman (2022) but was unsuccessful. For his own series, however, the character is depicted as a casual tobacco user, with a preference for cigars.
So, the first episode is over and it was excellent

I’ve never seen Farrell so invested in a character
I mean yeah, he’s wearing a big suit but you’d never guess it. His attitude, his body language, his voice, all of it makes you dive into the character and see only the Penguin. He’s nothing like the other live TV penguins, Burgess Meredith or Robin Lord Taylor.
He’s a New York mobster, a smart guy
He’s a Scorsese mobster but without the flowery language. The plot is simple, similar to Lord Taylor’s Penguin in the CW’s Gotham. The Penguin is a middleman in a mafia organization.
Very entertaining and highly recommended
So far he’s served his time, slowly climbing the ranks of the mafia, then with the effects of the Riddler blowing up the city wall and the death of his boss in this movie, he sees a chance to move up in the world. Now begins the game of betrayal, double betrayal and I guess triple betrayal.
