Adhoc Recruitment: INEC Announces Deadline For The 2023 Adhoc Application

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has revealed the application deadline for the 2023 ad-hoc recruitment.

According to a letter signed by A.T Yusuf, and addressed to all residents electoral commissioners (RECs), the commission has set the application deadline to be on December 14 2022, at 8pm. This means that the online registration portal will close exactly at the said date, and may not be accessible for new registrations.

The registration has been going since September 14, 2022, when the portal was opened. And since then, the portal has recorded many applications.

The INEC Adhoc staff are those that would help in various services and activities in the conduct of the 2023 general election. Some of the adhoc positions available for application are: supervisory presiding officers, presiding officers, assistant presiding officers, registration area technicians, and registration area centre managers.

The commission revealed that they are looking at employing over 1.4 million ad-hoc staff for the 2023 election. This means there is a wide gap to accept applicants who may be willing to participate in the exercise.
